Dungeons & Dragons Cel Collection



These are some of our Dungeons & Dragons cels that we've collected over the last 20 years. The majority of them we have framed and they are the only cels we have displayed in our living room.

Animation cels are thin sheets of acetate that have each frame of the animation painted on it by hand. D&D was animated in Japan. The backgrounds are also painted by hand on heavy cardstock. There is so much detail on the backgrounds that you could frame them by themselves since they are absolute works of art.

This is on the wrong background. This should be on the dark grey rocky background that the Venger cel is on, except the Venger cel is stuck on that background. This background is used quite a bit a few moments later for Eric.

This is on the wrong background. This is the background for the cel of the kids from Day of the Dungeons Master, except this cel is quite stuck on the background, so I can't change it.
